Portfolio of Implementation

  1. Describe the group or student (size of group, level, student characteristics, etc.)
I had two colleagues as students who are also going through the SIM training.
  1. Describe the length of implementation (weeks or months, amount of time per day, days per week)
This happened in one day.  We broke up the lesson into working with the word mapping strategy first in one session and then the Memory Tables in a second session.
  1. Submit student progress chart(s) without student names.
All artifacts from the work session are uploaded in the co-constructed drafts and can be heard in the audio.
  1. Submit a narrative log of your implementation experiences (what went well and/or poorly, adjustments made if necessary, ideas generated for issues encountered,  and impact.)
It was a lot to digest at first which is why I broke it into two sessions for ease of the students, and automaticity for delivering for me.
  1. Submit a narrative describing coaching, feedback, and follow up, identifying your coach.
I've been in communication by email for feedback and coaching from Diane.  I'll request feedback at the completion of posting my evidence.

Below is the evidence

Create a portfolio of your instruction in which you:
  1. Describe the group or student (size of group, level, student characteristics, etc.) I had two colleagues as students who are going through SIM training (George Butwin and Andra Bell)
  2. Describe the length of implementation (weeks or months, amount of time per day, days per week)  This happened in one day of planning. We broke up the lesson into working with a word mapping strategy in one session and memory table in another.
  3. Submit student progress chart(s) without student names. All artifacts from work session are uploaded.
  4. Submit a narrative log of your implementation experiences (what went well and/or poorly, adjustments made if necessary, ideas generated for issues encountered,  and impact.)  Working together and collaborating and talking through the strategy was helpful.  Using one another as partners to teach and record was helpful.
  5. Submit a narrative describing coaching, feedback, and follow up, identifying your coach. Feedback requested on the strategy.
