Why Schoology?

Schoology is a one stop shop that has everything you need to be successful. You can stay connected and communicate with the teacher, student, parent, and campus. In addition to having communication, you can post assignments and assessments for your students to complete within a given timeframe. I absolutely love it!

Schoology is a one stop shop! As a parent you can log in and see your child's grades, assignments, and upcoming events all in one place. 

 TEA has provided UCISD with a great gift. Schoology is a complete LMS that offers students direct access to assignments, resources, and support. Parents can monitor and support their students progress and also note areas of improvement. This platform allows for communication and transparency between teacher, student, and parents. This LMS will encourage student autonomy and provide confidence as they soar off to college or join the workforce with the technical skills necessary to share their knowledge.

Schoology is a learning management system supporting all educational stakeholders to have a "One-Stop-Shop Connection."  Schoology provides a "communication-connection" network in an ever-evolving digital world.  It's disheartening that a pandemic has led us to Schoology, but a silver lining to keeping UCISD stakeholders forever connected. 

Did it ever bother you as parent that you had to constantly ask your student, or the teacher, what assignments your student was missing? Well in schoology, you have your own access code that allows you to see practically everything your student is doing. You can see a lot more in schoology than you were able to in Google Classroom. This helps you, help your student, more efficiently. 

Schoology is a (LMS) Learning management system that is being used district wide.  It is a system that will  be very beneficial to our students, you our parents, and all teachers.  We will be using the communication part to send out message and it also allows for parents to message their teachers back.  Teachers will be posting assignments through Schoology. Schoology is basically a one stop shop for messages,  posting assignments, seeing grades, being able to administer unit test, as well as letting you know when assignments are due. I am very excited to be using this system. 

Schoology is an All In One tool for teachers, parents and students. Teachers can provide assignments, create assessments, communicate with students and parents, engage students in discussions and manage gradebook without ever having to leave schoology. Students can access information for lessons, watch videos, complete assignments, take tests, participate in class discussions, join class virtually and check grades without ever having to leave Schoology. Parents can check on student progress, see assignments completed (or not submitted) by their child, get campus updates/information and communicate with their child's teachers without ever leaving Schoology.

Schoology is our district choses learning management system. Schoology provides a one stop shop for our students, teachers, and parents to learn and grow together incorporating over 200 other programs all in one place! 

Have you ever considered a one stop shop? How good did you feel to find everything you needed in one place? Well, that is what Schoology does for teachers, students, parents, and administrators. Schoology is an educational version of a one stop shop. It houses all of courses, all of the course materials, all of the contact methods to reach others, and it houses a plethora of communication options. As a parent, a teacher, and future administrator, I know that having to access several different platforms can be time consuming and confusing. Schoology syncs with Skyward, Edpuzzle, Nearpod, BrainPop, Google Suite, and Newsela! If there was ever a time to be more involved with education, I am happy to say that our district has the easiest option to truly authentic involvement from all stakeholders. To Parents,

We will be switching our means of communication from Dojo to Schoology. There are many benefits to using Schoology.  It is a one stop shop for all of your student's and parents needs. We will easily be able to communicate with each other and you will get notifications of upcoming events.  You will be able to see you child's grades, and you will be able to see their assignments and when they are due.  Let me know if you have any questions to make this change as smooth as possible.  Thanks! :)

Schoology is an amazing tool for students, educators, and parents. I know that we were all very comfortable with Google Classroom. But, think back to the beginning of using Google Classroom. No one was comfortable with that, however over time that changed. The same thing will happen, eventually, with Schoology. The benefits of this platform outweigh the growing pains of switching platforms. 

My favorite thing about Schoology are the opportunities teachers have to create engaging lessons and activities inside the program itself. Students can have discussions, interactive activities, and continue to use their commonly used Google Suite Apps inside Schoology. 

My second favorite is that parents who have more than one child in the district have ONE place to check messages. Currently there are multiple places for parents to look. I think having one common place among multiple campuses is truly amazing.
