Individual coaching session on February 25, 2019.

I participated in an individual, virtual coaching session with Patty Graner.  We discussed the use of the frame to introduce students to a new topic, using the Extend Understanding section to pull the concepts together, and to provide expansion.  We also discussed using the Frame Routine on a consistent basis in my position as a consultant.

Implementation Checklist:
 *Work to be sure to clearly state the main idea and topic
Topic: Workplace MAG for students in Life Skills 
Main Idea: Condition, MAG, Criteria
Relationship: Using targeted language, teachers can clearly determine student growth

The frame can be used to support teachers in writing MAGs. I tend to not encourage teachers to cherry-pick from a targeted list when developing goal, although the frame is an excellent guide when developing a MAG and supporting students in the workplace.

Routine Implementation Checklist (comments on my self-assessment):
I think it's an excellent idea for teachers to work with a group of junior/senior students to synthesize this information.

Device Checklist:
 * Revise 'So what statement'
Through writing effective workplace goals, teachers are able to teach targeted skills and monitor progress, which will lead to more student success. 

* Possible MAG development:
During work time, Student will alphabetically sort mail, increasing from a baseline of 50% accuracy to 70% accuracy on 3:4 biweekly trials.

Virtual Coaching session with Patty G

Today, Joan and I had a coaching session with Patty via Zoom. We pulled together our plan of action for between now and March where we will hold another coaching session. We got questions answered and feel like we are well on our way to earning our fidelity badges.

Virtual Meeting with Patty

Lisa and I had a virtual meeting with Patty to go over our Framing Routines, discuss strategies for implementation in classrooms.  We talked about having a teacher use Socially Wise, and learning together with her, as we start providing it to students.

Meeting with Patty 11/12/18

I met with Patty Garner to discuss my draft frames on 11/12/18.  Through discussion it was approved that I may use these draft Frames related to 'verbal operants' and 'intensive teaching' with a group of paraprofessional I am providing professional development to.  One piece we discussed that was missing in my drafts was my extension activities.  We discussed how I coach in their classrooms asking participants to  prioritize which is most important in their students’ programming and that will be my focus with them during  my next classroom visit. The extension activity will include modeling and having the participants demonstrate the skill with their student.
