Looking forward to discovering new technology.

I look forward to discovering new technology that would allow me to implement augmented reality into the curriculum. I see a future of replacing simple scavenger hunts or similar activities with AR. Imagine the interest students would have in the subject if they could use a program similar to Pokémon Go.

Present for the first time!

I was lucky enough to attend the AASL conference in 2015 -- my first year as a school librarian. This year, my colleague and I will be presenting. I am so thrilled!

Like Minds

The opportunity to spend a few days immersed in a community of school librarians and their supporters and advocates means so much in a field where you are often an island! The networking, collaboration, inspiration, friendships, and more that come from this time refresh and rejuvenate.

Promotion

I am excited to attend my first national conference with one of my administrators because I need all the help I can get in how to promote what is already happening in the Library. As well as, finding ways to get teacher buy in for collaboration for future projects!
