I guided K. Morris through the process.

  • What were the successes?
    • Morris seemed to really understand the TM-D process
    • It was fun working with another educator to bounce back and forth.  Our students seemed more engaged with the two of us.
  • What were the challenges?
    • The time between instructional sessions (one week) could throw students off.
  • How did the two of you problem solve issues?
    •   During the "I Do", "We Do", "You Do" section, it could be potentially challenging with a co-teacher coming up with the correct/most important details.  Finding balance since Morris is the classroom teacher.
  • What Adjustments did you make?
    • I respect her as a teacher and an English teacher--her ideas were always a fantastic add-on

Patty Kohler-Evans and I provided SIM Fundamentals to five teachers and two administrators on 11/16/18.

We provided background on SIM, shared briefly about our experiences with SIM, and taught the strategy framework.  Teachers then practiced delivering the lessons to each other and received feedback.
