I messaged members of the chemistry student community that I knew had done a summer placement to see if they would be interested in speaking at the presentation.
Afterwards, I set up a Google Presentation document that all the speakers could edit.
I then contacted the committee member responsible for advertising to get a poster made to advertise our event. The President of the society also sent out an email advertising the presentation evening (with free pizza). I made sure that a room was booked and that the presentation was complete and downloaded onto a memory stick, ready to go!
