7. Describe your Coaching

1. I felt my instruction was successful in that I have experience implementing the Word ID Strategy. I think it worked in my favor that I understand how using a strategy is not a one size fits all implementation and that there are different ways to work with students to ensure students are showing success.
2. Instruction was a challenge since this is my first time leading the Word ID Strategy. I feel that I may have not been as clear as I wanted to be, but was able to answer questions regarding what I found to be best practices.
3. Problem solving comes up along the way. When a problem arose we had discussions about how to best move forward for the benefit of our teaching and the success of students. It became very much a collaborative effort.
4. I feel adjustments were made in how to best have students complete stories. Being flexible to find what works best for the students.

I met with D. Cox on January 14, 2019 to discuss WORD ID.  She has expressed interest in implement this strategy this spring  to her Title 1 students.  We discussed the goals of the strategy and then I proceeded to go over the power point with her.  I also showed her my students' binders and how to organize them.
