9. Completion Date

I provided training on this strategy on 10/13/2017. I have provided a substantial amount of support to other teachers in the building who wanted to implement this strategy with their students. Through my support and feedback, teachers were able to effectively teach this strategy with fidelity. The successful coaching of this strategy will encourage instructors to continue utilizing this strategy.

This was a one day training on the Inference Strategy, but that doesn't mean that everything is completed in that one day.  I did give the special education teachers an assignment to determine the types of questions on some passages we are all going to use for pre- and post- tests for the strategy.  I will also be in their classrooms to see how they're doing and to offer any assistance I can.  I have already heard from one teacher who wasn't able to attend that day about scheduling some individualized training for her on the strategy.  In our district, strategy training goes on year round as we help teachers be successful in the implementation of the strategies.
