The student is a male, 15 year old, ninth grader. He describes himself as an average to above average student that can read quickly while comprehending. He expressed how he successfully completed a writing prompt for a “practice SOL”. He is currently enrolled in an AP English prep class and has an A in the class. However, he scored a 22% on the Paraphrasing/Summarizing pretest.
I began working with this student on Mar 1, 2022 with the hopes of completing one to two lessons per week for thirteen weeks. Each of our lessons took about 45-50 minutes to complete. We completed the last lesson on May 19 along with the post test.
