These two students are not engaged learners. They do not attend to details (including, but not limited to using capital letters or punctuation marks in any type of writing). After starting Fundamentals in  Sentence Writing, I had engaged students. Toby volunteers each day in class and completes his work. Shane participates and never says "I can't". Neither student is disengaged during Sentence Writing Instruction. They both feel confident. Toby said, "I know how to do this." Shane said, "I am smart now." Both students identify their need to pay attention to detail while working. This is always something they will struggle at doing, yet this program has given them confidence in their knowledge about sentence writing. This confidence is carried out into class. I am so proud of them.
