I attended a 4 day institute held for professionals previously trained in SIM who were interested in learning many more strategies. It was an intensive program where we went through the manuals for many of the strategies, including Assignment Completion. I believe this was in 2009. During my time in this training, Conn Thomas made the pitch that I should explore becoming a professional developer. After returning home and using many of the new-to-me strategies with my students, I decided to apply to the PD Institute. I completed the PD Institute in 2010. This pre-dated Badgelist and microcredentialing, so I do not have any direct evidence for this strategy available to post as evidence.
