Reflection on Implementation:The Unit Organizer Routine, I regularly used it in my Earth Science Course. It really helped to focus students on what we were learning in a unit, and be able to show what they learned over the course of that unit. My district also encourages the use of learning objectives and success criteria which worked wonderfully with the Unit Organizer. We would use the “Self test questions” to allow students the opportunity to reflect on their learning. I found that students enjoyed the schedule and we used it to review and guide our path forward. I would not always have the complete schedule filled in before the unit, we would start class and add what we would be doing that day. A great way to include learning objectives and an overview of the class. I would use the schedule to give test/ quiz dates as well.
