The Innovation Hub was a very enriching learning experience for me. Specifically,  I learned how to design a .stl file and use the Craftware software to modify my project and get it ready for printing using the Makerbot 3D printer. I see so many amazing opportunities in how I could use this in my Chemistry or Biology classroom in the future. A 3D printer would add an important dimension and layer to a student's learning when they are studying different molecules or the characteristics of a DNA molecule. I decided to make a caffeine molecule as my first prototype and I was impressed by the level of detail achieved in less than an hour. I plan on visiting the hub again to test out other projects for my future classroom.
