I learned about the Structure Sensor Scanner for iPad. This is a tool that allows you to scan a real life 3D image and be able to see it on a computer. This eliminates the need for drawing a model from scratch in CAD software. In the classroom, this can be used in science curriculum when studying animals or insects.
