I went to the innovation hub and used the laser cutter to make a keychain for my fiancé. This is probably one of the coolest things I have ever done and I will be going back. I did no know the Innovation Hub even existed until this class, but it's definitely one of the coolest places on campus. I went through the training to use both the laser cutter as well as the 3D printers. I decided to the laser cutter because it seemed more practical. I am so glad I found this and I will most likely be going back to make gifts as well as wedding decorations. I think this is relevant to my future classroom because it is important to teach kids to be innovators. To be creative and have different outlets for them to express themselves. Although this programming software and the laser cutter may be too advanced for elementary students, the idea of making something your own will be applied to my classroom.
