How is this relevant to your future classroom? How could you use this now as a student and in the future as a teacher? You can talk about your ISTE standard of choice here as well. This reflection should be specific, but it can be short.

Reflection on twitter in my future classroom.

I chose the ISTE standard Empowered Leaner because I feel that when my students use twitter in the future for education they will learn more about social media. This will make the students empowered, because they will be able to use this type of technology to connect with other educators, schools, and peers when learning. I will have specific historical research assignments for my students to complete. When the students are completing this they will be learning more about technology and history at the same time.

Get Twitter Reflection

I think that twitter would be really helpful to teachers. I think it would be a great way to get help troubleshooting problems that may arise in the classroom environment. Being able to talk to other teachers and collaborate with them online is also a great way to get inspiration for how to conduct a unit or single lesson. I also think that students could use twitter to connect with other students and their teachers. They could get help on certain questions, or find a page that might explain a problem in a different way so that they can understand better.

Reflection

In my future classroom, I can use twitter to follow, learn, and collaborate with fellow teachers across the country. As a student, I can get advice, input, and ideas from educators and schools on twitter. I chose the ISTE standard 1b, "Pursue professional interests by creating and actively participating in local and global learning networks", because through twitter I am able to engage in local and global learning networks with educators.

Reflection

Being on Twitter is relevant to the future classroom because there are so many educators on twitter to learn educational ideas from. As a student i can use Twitter to become more educated on topics, and as a teacher i could use Twitter to also become more educated on topics.

Reflection Below:

This is relevant to my future classroom because learning more about communicating through social media is an important aspect of our society today. I can use this now as a student to communicate with other students, and follow other educators to learn from them. As a future educator, I can use twitter to learn more from other educators and share my classroom ideas. For the standards I chose, for citizen, I think it is important in our world today that we know how to communicate digitally. Similarly for designer, I think it is important for teachers to design lessons that can accommodate to different learners and different learning environment, like online how we are learning today.

Reflection

This is relevant to my future classroom because Twitter is one of the many ways in which students communicate with people. As a teacher, if I want my students to enjoy my classroom I have to be able to relate to them and show them how education and schools are important and can be fun! Even with younger students, I could use things like Twitter to make lessons more engaging and enjoyable.

Reflection

I Feel like twitter can be an essential tool for communication. As a pre service teacher, it allows me to start participating in conversations about education and learning about ways to improve my future classroom. It can also give support for all the hard things teachers go through because another teacher out there on the internet understands just as much as you if you get frustrated with your job.

how is this relevant..

This is relevant to my future classroom because it will give me resources to be able to further my education abilities so I can be at my best for my students, and it will also give me interaction with my students so that we can build a relationship and they can see that I'm working to make improvements. As a student, this is helpful to see how educators are using social media to push each other now so that in the future I can do the same, and as an educator it will help me to see my students growth and my own.

Reflection

With so many students using technology and social media in their everyday lives, this is something that teachers should take advantage of to teach their students. ISTE standard 7 is the Global Collaborator standard. Since twitter is a platform that is used around the world teachers can have their students interact or find information from peoples post around the world. This can help to broaden students perspectives. On the other side I can use this now and as a teacher to connect with other teachers and to learn what is going on in other schools and what is working for other teachers.

Reflection- Twitter

I think that Twitter would be a wonderful tool to use in the classroom for older students. However, my major is special education, and I want to work in elementary school. I think exposure to social media at that young of an age can be really detrimental. There are wonderful aspects of Twitter that can be brought into the classroom such as exposure to other's perspectives, cultures, or beliefs. But I believe that no K-12 should ever have to create a social media account for their classes. That is why I say it should be used in more of a high school classroom setting, because most students more than likely already have Twitter accounts.

Reflection

This is relevant to my future classroom because I now know how I can have discussions via Twitter. This will be important to use in my class to have conversations and discussions about topics we discuss in schools. This will also be a great way to keep in touch with my students outside of the classroom.

Future Classroom

I think Twitter can be used to stay in touch with students outside of the classroom. Twitter can also be used to constantly be engaged in potential learning opportunities and growing as instructors. There are tons of different perspectives and thoughts floating around on twitter. All of this information and perspectives can be used to grow as an instructor and become a better educator for students.
