#1stChat- A chat about all things 1st grade

I attended #1stChat on Sept. 23rd at 5p.m. This chat occurs every Sunday at 5p.m. This weeks topic was building classroom community with morning meeting. The chat lasted one hour and was very worth while. I would consider going every Sunday as I gained great suggests for my classroom in regards to how I could implement morning meeting as a departmentalized class. This includes only with the class that I have in the morning when no other activities interfere. I can only imagine what other insights this group would bring to me. I would certainly recommend this chat for others teaching first grade as a way to problem solve or gain classroom ideas. This group helps you think of solutions in ways you may not think of. This group also offers chats based on other grade levels on other days of the week.

#edChat Education Chat

Hello all, I also participated in the #edchat Education Chat Twitter chat on September 25 between the hours of 12- 1pm. I was able to participate during 12:28pm during my planning time. I was able to liked a few of the comments that were shared. Informative resources were shared. I agree with Tenickia Polk when she stated the format was different. I can recall in our previous classes how the professor gave us the guideline on facilitating our own Twitter chats. Nevertheless, it was informative. I will recommend to others. I will recommend it to my work colleagues. My twitter handle is Miamya99
