In addition to my role as site tech integration coach, I am also the chair of our social committee (we call it Sunshine Committee). I believe deeply in building and supporting the community of a staff to establish trust and relationships with one another. When we get to know each other on a more personal level, it shows compassion, caring, and understanding. Once these have been established we can achieve more as a team with our work.
I organized a number of events and activities as Sunshine Committee Chair. These include a staff Secret Santa exchange (where I also created a get-to-know-me form that went out to participants), several staff gatherings and TGIFs, cards and collections for staff members experiencing major life events (marriage, new baby, death of a loved one, and more).
I also frequently send out email updates with my Tech Coach hat on, sharing tips and tricks and always ending them with an invite to chat, where people can reach me, who on staff is also an expert on this, and more.
