Another goal I have is to learn more about implementing the new national standards.

Network with librarians from all over

At AASL in Hartford, this Kentucky librarian attended a breakfast event and was seated between librarians from Alaska and Hawaii!

I hope to learn more how to integrate Ebooks into the curriculum. I have purchased from Follett's LightBox collection.

Makerspace Ideas

I hope to learn about new makerspace trends. I have a fabulous makerspace, but I need to discover makerspace activities/challenges that are easy and budget friendly. It seems I have already done what has been out there. I need activities/challenges that can easily be done in the library, not the more complicated ones that would be done in a science lab.

New Space

As I type this, my books are being moved into a brand new facility, from a 1963 building. I would love to hear how others set up their spaces as I get ready to make a new house a home for my kids.

Conference Floor Time!

Whether at ALA or AASL (or any conference really), I always make time for the floor and connecting with vendors and publishers. It's always hard to carve out time from all the amazing things happening at conference, but my goal is to find the balance!

I love networking and meeting new people.

It's fun to meet people from my PLN and people I have collaborated with virtually.

Advocacy

I'm ready to learn new advocacy strategies that I can share with Arkansas school librarians as we more forward with our state-wide campaign.

Social media

Social media is a must for professional development and marketing in our field. I want to make sure I keep up on all the latest social media options and how to use them, so I can share that expertise with librarians in my own state.
