I used to write my blog posts as I was thinking about the topic and just put into words my thoughts. That does work for some things but my process has now changed. I try and follow a narrative, so I think about the line of thought and write down the main points I want to get across. I then link them together so I can include evidence and useful references.
My whole ethos for writing blog posts is that they should be useful. I also want to include media to illustrate my points (although sometimes I end up just using a photo for speed!)
