Completion Date

I have completed the Word Identification Completion on May 24, 2018. Students progressed well and worked hard. Teaching was exciting and motivating. Program was easy to follow and adapt to all needs. Skills were life skills and made students better readers and academic achievers.

The Word ID Strategy group concluded on June 5, 2018. The group was able to complete Stages 1-8 (Orientation). Students did not complete the Advanced Practice Stage, but all students were working in Stage 6. Students did complete Stage 7, Pre/Post Tests, and students were able to touch on Stage 8 with Generalization-Orientation to address how to utilize the strategy when taking the VA SOL Reading Assessment.

Students have been in Generalization from Jan. 28 to the present day.  We have completed the first 3 phrases; students are now in maintenance.  

All stages except Maintenance (as part of the Generalization stage) have been completed - 06/09/17; for me, the Maintenance stage is one that would be verified throughout the first months of the next school year to see if students continue to generalize the strategy into their core classes.
