Keynote and Bading

I am eager to incorporate what Mr. Kulatta presented in his keynote.  The visualization of badging makes great sense. I'm wondering about how I can incorporate badging into my classroom and coaching.

Keynote was very informative

Cullata discussed 6 key points when it comes to technology education in America. Truly mobile learning and feedback in Near real time struck me the most. We spend a lot of money on paper and textbooks, why not put some money into mobile learnings? Feedback for students is also very important. Question is how are kids seeing what they have mastered in real time?

The DVT preconference session was informative and stimulating. Dr. Ellis has developed tools for scaffolding content literacy.

Use technology to support learning; all the different connections stimulated new thinking. Badges and micro credential is completely new.

The idea of open sourcing needing a way to be sifted and a way to be ranked was right on target.  He said "it was not about more stuff but about thee right stuff" is a quote I will use in PD.  he sees technology as a  a way to address long standing equity gaps.

"Slow down, you move to fast"

I would have liked the pace to be a bit slower and more time to start building with assistance from Peter et al.

Keynote and micro credentials.

Our keynote speaker was fun to listen too. He had a an interesting take on the future of technology, learning and teaching.

The he micro credentials session actually gave us time to get signed in, set up an account and to navigate the site with expert help available. Very nice.

It was well worth the "distance challenges" to have such an informative connection to the Transformation in Learning.

Wondering how this will be received.

The keynote was an appropriate topic for the conference.

The technology age is coming to SIM with the new badging system. The session was very useful.
