Implementation

I used the CO with my 8th grade advanced class of 25 students throughout the school year. At the start of the year we worked together to develop our class community principles. We brainstormed some of the learning rituals we use as a school and then added to the learning rituals list as we used them in our classroom. The students were able to see what they were going to learn about, the units, and make a connection to the overall purpose of the course, the is about. The students appreciated the course standards being made clear to them and the performance options, or ways they could ask to solve problems they might encounter. I wasn't able to get to the graphing portion as often as I would have liked, and for this coming year using that box regularly is one of my goals.
