No Worksheet Week 2016 is the third annual week where educators intentionally plan lessons to eliminate worksheets from their classrooms. A worksheet is defined as a mass-produced something (could be paper or digital) where students fill in answers that are either right or wrong. This is not a paperless initiative, and it's not an effort to go digital. The purpose of No Worksheet Week is to allow more original student expression, student choice, and freedom of expression. Once teachers and students see the benefits, we hope that there will be fewer worksheets in the world!
