Implementation Evidence (Module 2)

Artifact(s) of Implementation
Create an activity or lesson plan (your choice of format, of course) that incorporates both your content literacy area of focus and a digital tool.  Note: the activity/lesson should address and utilize (not merely include) one of the Digital Learning Competencies.

Please link or attach an artifact of how you have implemented what you learned in this training (and possibly how you plan to implement additional, future learning with students).  Note: one or more of the artifacts should demonstrate use of the Digital Content and Instruction strand ("Teachers will know and use appropriate digital tools and resources for instruction.") with students.

You should have already completed the yellow columns on the "Content Area Lit. - Before/After Chart".  Share (upload to Badgelist) this as an artifact as well.

Lastly, reflect on Session #2 and answer the question, “What is content literacy?”.  Please include a description of a previous example of use of content literacy in your classroom based on what you learned in the Content Literacy Session. Consider the following questions:
    • Did students engage in a specific focus area of Content Literacy? If so, which one(s)?
    • Exactly how did you implement one of the 5 focus areas of Content Literacy?  Did you use one of the activities, approaches, or tools you learned about in Session #2
      • (If you used a "new" tool or approach, please share - this helps us all build a stronger toolbox!)
    • Was the activity successful? 
      • Why or why not? What would have made it successful?
    • If you were to repeat this lesson, what would you change based on what you have learned? In what ways would you modify you have modified this use of content literacy in your classroom to deepen incorporation of content literacy or involve an additional focus area? 
      • Would you incorporate an activity/approach/tool from Session #2?  If so, which one?
You will submit this reflection now (in the format of your choosing) but know that you will be asked to revisit your response after completion of the last session (in May).

Acceptable artifacts could include:
- Student work samples
- Pictures or videos from your classroom
- Survey feedback w/explanation
- Peer observation notes
- Brief narrative
- other artifacts from your practice.
* Regardless of the artifact, please include a brief explanation of how the artifact reflects your implementation.
