Agency Public

Sociologist Nicki Lisa Cole, Ph.D., defines agency as "the thoughts and actions taken by people that express their individual power". Scholars demonstrate their individual power by taking action to positively influence a situation in which they are involved in an effort to create change that will benefit her/him self and others. 

For scholars to earn this badge, this action must have been independent or the scholar must have demonstrated clear leadership in assisting a team in taking action.
