Cute video!

This was a fun video that included some really good information on themes.  It even included motifs.  And it was a spoof on Star Wars.  The kids said they saw another video like it in 4th grade.  We took the quiz as well.  I think it was a great lead in video for theme.  I will be using more of these videos as we go along.  I am still not able to upload my lesson plan file so under evidence I posted a link to the lesson plan.  Looking for another way to skin that cat.  :)

I used Brain Pop on my Feb 4th lessons to help teach the U.S Mexican War. I will use it again.

Yes, I will definitely use Brain Pop again. In today's phonics lesson the video added an animated visual effect that helps my students.

The phonics brain pop videos are effective reinforcement tools. The quizzes allow my students to practice the lesson elements so immediate feedback is available.

My students enjoyed the moon video.

My students enjoyed the moon video.  They liked the easy quiz and did quite well due to the information presented in kid friendly language.    I do plan to use Brainpop Jr. again in my class.  The kids are interested in the videos and they are short enough that we are able to include it quickly and do other assignments as well.

My students enjoyed the video. They answered the quiz questions correctly and it helped with the later assignment as a reference.

BrainPOP Reflection

I went into this activity with some knowledge of BrainPOP, but I hadn't actually used it for my own classes.  I randomly chose the topic computer and completed a search.  I found the site easy to navigate and was impressed to find that not only did they have video but they also had related activities, such as quizzes, reading, sorting, and games related to the subject.  I found it easy to build a lesson plan using BrainPOP that I will easily be able to incorporate into my keyboarding class.  I also plan to explore the site further for the other subjects I teach.  I believe the students will enjoy interacting with the activities it has to offer.  All in all, I would say the site is a winner!
