Accelerated Reader Levels should no prevent students from reading for fun.

One of the drawbacks of accelerated reader is that often teachers confuse AR Level with Grade Level and insist that students read books at their level. Unfortunately, the level formula is based on number of words per page and syllables in the words so it is difficult to find higher level books that are interesting. Students should read what they love and a lot of it.

Dual Enrollment teachers

i shared a new opportunity to partner with teachers, and that's the dual enrollment classes. These students are earning college credits and have college assignments, including research projects.

Accelerated Reader

I like being able to give my students a variety of books- both a book in their AR reading level and a book outside of it that they can choose for fun.

I dislike that AR dis-encourages kids from checking out books that don't have a pre-made quiz.
